Leslie ismoving toward the north near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this motion withan increase in forward speed is expected through tonight. Areduction in speed is forecast on Friday and Friday night, withLeslie turning toward the east or east-southeast over the weekend.Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 75 mph (120 km/h)with higher gusts. Continued gradual weakening is expected duringthe next several days, and Leslie may weaken to a tropical storm onFriday.Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 40 miles (65 km) from thecenter and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 195 miles(315 km).The estimated minimum central pressure is 979 mb (28.91 inches).HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND----------------------SURF: Large swells generated by Leslie will continue to affectportions of the southeastern coast of the United States, Bermuda,and the Bahamas during the next few days.
