Leslie is movingtoward the north near 3 mph (6 km/h) and this motion, with anincrease in forward speed, should continue through Friday night. Aturn to the east is expected this weekend.Maximum sustained winds are near 80 mph (130 km/h) with highergusts. Some slight strengthening is forecast during the nextday or so, but a slow weakening trend is expected to begin byFriday.Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from thecenter and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles(335 km).The estimated minimum central pressure is 975 mb (28.80 inches).HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND----------------------SURF: Large swells generated by Leslie will continue to affectportions of the southeastern coast of the United States, Bermuda,and the Bahamas during the next few days.
