    Go back to Belize?

I was having a brief debate on facebook about this:

" Antonio Beardall: There is little surprise that many people would not want to return to Belize after studying here in Taiwan. This place is safe. We have the threat of typhoons and earthquakes, but many would choose that over the growing sense violence, low wages, and the continuing corrupt governments, both red and blue. I wanna see wh...o is gonna be the first person to call me unpatriotic for saying this..."

"NJ : every country has their problems....if u feel like u can progress better over there then u should stay."

"Antonio Beardall : actually, N, i won't.....the only reason I even going back is because I happen to love my job there, and there is where Maya archaeology is, and my mother as well...regardless that other countries have their problems, I care about Belize and its problems only...at least in some of those other countries, there are opportunities if you know where to look, in Belize, you either need to study business or go into tourism...."

" CC : Hmm...I live what?.. stone throw away from down town yet I have never felt more at peace in san iggy 7:00 I still jogging at that hour. I thought that the point of the whole thing was to study learn many things obtain much experience and return and bring it all back to Belize...lastly why stay in a tiny lil appartment there when u can have the posibility of a mansion here. "

"TJS: LOL!!! Now this is a first. I actually like your take on the whole issue of violence and ex-partriation. Have you ever taken a moment to stop and analize the situation we will be in if all learned people were to stay away and not come back home with the exposure and experience they have gained. That would mean that the cylce of corruption would go ... See Moreon for the next 50yrs. We all worry about the money we will make when we get back home as compared to amount we will make if we staying abroad. Money can buy you alot of things indeed, but the happiest and most content people are those who have no money. If you happen to win the lottery right now you have more worries than before."
Maybe there on the edge is your hope
    But you don't look down,
    Burning eyes can't forgive you
    Howling moon drives on
And deep in me, Your illusion
    What you see in me.....

I sorta agree with that last post. The happiest people are those who are not greedy. Have a job and live good with what they have. Material things are just that. I find that money is a lot of people's problems. The more they have, the more they spend and then overspend...god forbid they loose their job and then they loose everything as most of them live on credit. Whatever happen to paying off your house so at least you have a home if anything? My A -one desire was to buy a home and pay it off, that I got from my grandmother who belived in security and not wasting money on material things which, in the end, mean nothing. Just have a look in your closet. How many garments are in there that you don't wear? How much money was spent there that could have payed your mortgage down? lol...I have 70 pairs of pants hahahahah but my morgage done pay off lang time .....

Middle class people are the most happy. The live within their means (most do ) and pay their bills and save a little for their old age. When you have too much money, you tend to get bored and duh rass...after you get everything and been everywhere, there are no more challenges in your life ..then you go on the destructions path...just have a look at some of the stars and millionaires..their stories are just pitiful....the Post heiress and quite a few come to mind....see? the parents didn't teach them about love, just money....

If Belize is where your heart is Meonh, then go there and make a life.
Love is a many splendid thing and food run a close second.
